Arch Acres is located in west/central Indiana in Fountain County.  We are mid-way between Attica and Covington near a small community, Fountain and the Portland Arch Nature Preserve.  We are 6 miles south of Attica (highway 41 south) or 6 miles north of interstate 74 (Veedersburg & Attica  exit) on highway 41  then 4 miles west on County Road 650 North.

In general, 30 minutes west of Danville, IL  or  45 minutes SW of Lafayette, In  or  60 minutes N of Terre Haute, IN  or 60 minutes W of Indianapolis, IN.

Our longhorn sign is at the bottom of a hill - north side of the road.  You will see a log home and buildings with green metal roofs.  Google "arch acres" or "1290 W 650 N Attica, IN"  for directions and a map.  See the map on the contact page!

We first purchased 5 longhorns in 1999 and grew to 70 registered longhorns.  Currently we have two bulls and about 25 cows and heifers for breeding stock. Calves can be purchased for pasture pets, ropers, show prospects or beef.  We  focus on horn, body, color and disposition!

In 2015  we purchased an outstanding, flashy, beefy  black & white bull with 84+ inches of tip to tip horn from Ron Jones  "SHR Wow's Ace".   All we can say is "WOW!"  He is a proven producer.    Great genetics, size, color, and gentle!  Wow has added black and white to this year's calf crop.

Other major improvements include new bloodlines with two JP Rio Grande daughters, a  Black Kettle daughter, a Delta Lucky Ace daughter, a Fox Chex daughter, and a Fifty-fifty daughter.

Arch Acres' goal is to promote the breed of longhorns.  We raise and sell pasture pets, show quality animals, breeding stock, steers and ropers when available.  Many new breeders begin with two or three young longhorns.  All animals are for sale.

We are lifetime members of both the TLBAA (Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America) and  ITLA (International Texas Longhorn Association.  We are founding members of the MTLA ( Midwest Texas Longhorn Association), an affiliate of ITLA,  based in Indiana founded in 2010.  MTLA holds one local show every year.   The 2018 MTLA show will tentatively be held in June in Worthington, IN.  The 2016 & 2017 ITLA  show and convention was held in CLOVERDALE, IN.

If you have an interest in our longhorns, please e-mail Jim Small  at or call Jim's cell (765-299-6392).  If you are ever in the area,  give us a call.   Come visit !!!
